    Dr. Fathy Sadek, DDS

    Dr. Sadek has been practising dentistry since 1991. He trained at Alexandria University and holds a post-graduate diploma from Cairo University. He worked for 25 years in the Gulf, ten of them leading a hospital dental department, and has been licensed in Ontario since 2016. He opened Ottawa Smiles on Bank Street in September 2020.

    He speaks English and Arabic.

    Most new patients start with a check-up and cleaning.

    Canadian Dental Care PlanWe’re a CDCP provider. If you’re covered, bring your details and we’ll check what applies.
    Interim Federal Health ProgramWe accept IFHP.
    No dental insuranceNew patient consultation and exam at no charge if you don’t have dental insurance. If X-rays or treatment are needed, we’ll explain the cost before anything is done. X-rays, diagnostic imaging, cleanings and treatment are not included.

    We are not currently able to accept Healthy Smiles Ontario, ODSP, Ontario Works or OSDCP. Many people covered by those programs qualify for the CDCP — call us and we’ll help you check.

    Call us on 613-520-0222. We offer emergency exams, and we’ll tell you honestly how soon we can see you.

    If we’re closed and it’s serious — bad swelling, trouble swallowing or breathing, bleeding that won’t stop — go to your nearest emergency department.

    I don’t have dental insurance. What does a first visit cost?

    Your new patient consultation and exam are at no charge. X-rays, diagnostic imaging, cleanings and treatment are not included. If you need any of those, we’ll explain the cost before anything is done.

    Do you bill my insurance directly?

    We bill most plans directly. Bring your insurance details to your first visit and we’ll check what’s covered.

    Do you take the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

    Yes, we’re a CDCP provider. Bring your coverage details and we’ll confirm what applies to you.

    Are you open on weekends?

    We’re open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. We’re closed on Sundays.

    Where do I park?

    There’s a free parking lot on site with designated accessible spaces. We’re at 1935 Bank Street, inside the Bank Medical Centre. There’s a wheelchair-accessible entrance and an accessible washroom.
